Family Medical Leave
The Mount Horeb Area School District provides leaves of absence designed to meet the requirements of the federal (FMLA) and Wisconsin Family and Medical Leave Act (WFMLA). The law is designed to allow employees to be absent from work for their own personal health condition, to care for the serious health condition of an immediate family member, for the birth or adoption of a child, and for certain military family leaves. Rights under the WFMLA and FMLAS, eligibility and specifics details are outlined in our MHASD FMLA policy below.
Please contact Human Resources and/or your supervisor if you intend on requesting a FMLA leave or medical leave. We are obligated under state and federal law to provide certain information.
